All Way Stop SignsGenerally, All Way Stop signs are used to address issues of traffic volume, crash rates, and delay. They are not meant to be used as solutions for basic Traffic Calming issues, such as speeding or cut-through traffic.
DDOT shall adopt the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) as the official standard for traffic signs, traffic signals, pavement marking, and traffic control devices. (DCMR 18-2100).
