Technical Disclaimer

  • The DDOT Compendium has been built using Microsoft SharePoint 2013, and is best viewed with Internet Explorer version 9.0 and above. While the site is compatible with other popular internet browsers on both desktop computers and mobile devices, using those browsers may cause occasional issues with the site's display or functionality.
  • When using Internet Explorer version 8.0 and below, the following dialog box appear may appear:

IE 8 Security Warning

  • Select "Yes" and continue to browse the Compendium; or,
  • disable this warning by:
    • Navigating  to the Tools menu in Internet Explorer
    • Navigating to Internet Options sub-menu
    • Selecting the Security tab
    • Clicking on the Internet zone icon at the top of the tab page
    • Clicking the Custom Level button
    • In the Miscellaneous section, changing Display mixed content to Enable
    • Repeating steps 1 – 5 for the Local intranet and Trusted sites zones

This prompt is due to how Internet Explorer 8 incorrectly "reads" webpages that display "mixed-content", and not because any document or link on the Compendium presents a security risk to a visitor's computer. "Mixed content" refers to when a webpage displays elements using both HTTPS and HTTP web server connections
